This SOP explains how to utilize the day of the week feature in the SmartPost slideshow from Tent Apps. Users can configure the slideshow to display different content categories based on the day, allowing for tailored viewing experiences.
Hey everybody, making this video to show you the day of the week feature of our SmartPost slideshow that some of y'all may have been using. And so we've added a parameter to the short. Code for day of the week. So here's an example of that. Um, so what this does is you put in say Monday and then you put in your category. And so then on Mondays, um, the slideshow will pull from only that category. And then if you wanted to set it to something different on Tuesday, it'll pull from a different category. And then it'll always default back to the main category parameter, um, if there's no day of the week set. So I'm just going to show you that. Um, so I have, just a slide show here. Um, so right now it's only set to show category of TV. Um, but I am going to go to our Divi Builder page here. And so you can see we have our shortcode here. Um, the category is only set to TV. But I'm going to, uhm, let's see. First. So, yeah, say I want to show. So today, the day I'm filming this is Thursday. So say on Thursdays, I want to show just sign up in events. So I'm going to just copy this, and then I'll go back to our shortcode here, and I'll type in Thursday equals, and I'll say sign up in events. Okay, and I'll go ahead and save that. And then, once that saves, if we go back to our TV page here, we're going to see that it's only going to show this one post, because that's set to side events. So, hopefully that makes sense. We have instructions here on the settings page. If you just go to, uh, settings in your Diddy menu and into the Smart Posts slideshow. You can see. All about it here. Um, you can also set an interval of how often you want this page to refresh, um, just to make sure that when the day switch is over, um, that's getting updated. So by default, it's set to 60 minutes. So every hour, um, but you can adjust that here. If you'd like. Awesome. That's pretty much it. Thanks.
