Embedding Planning Center Groups on a Page

This SOP provides instructions for embedding Planning Center groups into a webpage using Tent Apps' plugin. It outlines the steps necessary to manually sync groups and utilize shortcodes to display group information effectively on a website.

Overview

  1. Log into the backend of your Tent Apps account.
  2. Ensure you have the Tent Apps plugin installed.
  3. Navigate to Settings and then select PCO Connection.
  4. Click on Manual Sync Groups to update your group information.
  5. Once the sync is complete, locate and copy the provided shortcode.
  6. Open your page builder and create a new row.
  7. Insert a Text Module in the row.
  8. Paste the copied shortcode into the text module, replacing any existing text.
  9. Save your changes in the page builder.
  10. Exit the visual builder to view your page, where all groups should now be displayed.
  11. Click on any group to be redirected to the Planning Center for sign-up links or join requests.

How's it going? Here is a video to show how to embed your planning center groups on a page. So if you're logged into the back end and you have our plugin installed, you're going to go under settings and PCO connection and you're going to be taken to this page. First thing you're going to want to do is make sure you click this manual sync groups. It should do this automatically every day, but just so we know everything's up to date, we'll go ahead and click that. Okay, once that's done, we can come down here and grab this shortcode. So this is just a piece of text that we can paste on a page, and then it will show our group. So I have this copy. I'm going to come over to our page builder, and I'm just going to put in a row, and then I'll insert a text module. Okay, I'll get rid of this text and just paste in that shortcode. And that's then I'll go ahead and save all this. And once that's done, we can see it's showing all of our groups here. So if we go and exit that visual builder, we can see that all of our groups are here. And if we click on one, it'll take us to. To our planning center. Uhm, and you can put your sign up links or request to join, but this is going to redirect to your church center. So hopefully that makes sense. Please always reach out if you have any questions.
