Creating Custom Links on Your Website Menu

  1. Log in to the back end of your Tent Apps website.

  4. Click on 'Custom Links'.
  5. Paste the desired URL into the URL field.
  6. Enter the display text for the link in the text field (e.g., 'Give').
  7. If using Planning Center, append the following text to the URL: ?open-in-church-center-modal=true.
  8. Click on 'Add to Menu' to include the custom link.
  9. Press 'Save' to finalize the changes.
  10. Test the link by clicking on it to ensure it opens the expected form or page.

Hey everyone, we're going to show you today how to create a custom link to anything on your website. So to log, go to the back end of your website, you're going to click on website menus, or some of them might say appearance, and then there's a submenu called menus. Click on that. Once you're there, you're going to just click on custom links over here. You're going to paste in the, uh, URL of where you want to go. That could be any where, uhm, and then just type in the text. So we'll type in give. Now, if you're using planning center, you can add this question mark, open hyphen in hyphen church hyphen center hyphen modal equals true. And then you just click on add to menu. And what that'll do is that'll allow it to open up a form with inside of the website and not go to the actual external planning center. That only works with planning center. But then all you have to do is click on save and you're all set. So now you'll see as we click on give, it opens the module right there.
