This SOP outlines the process for scheduling design elements on your website to appear or disappear on specific future dates. It enables users to manage content visibility, such as announcements or promotional sections, effectively based on time conditions.
Hey everyone in today's video tutorial, we're going to show you how to schedule a design element on your website, on your website to show up on a certain future date, or be removed at a certain, certain future date. And so this allows you to schedule maybe a new announcement box, or hey, it's the end of Christmas, we're taking off this announcement box, or something like that. Umm, so we're going to go ahead and on any page, go ahead and click on Enable Visual Builder, up at the top. Alright, now that we've got your side up, I'm going to just go ahead and design maybe a new section here, and we'll just put in that section. Alright, so I designed this little Christmas Eve service, uhh, uhh, uhh, uhh, section here, and this would say, hey, we want to not show this on a certain day or show it on a certain day, so we're going to click on the section settings here, umm, for the whole section. Now, you can also do this just with a button, like, if you just wanted to change the button or change the text or change the row, but we're going to do this whole section, uhh, again, click on the cog settings, we'll click on Advanced, and then you can click on Conditions here, and you can say, I want to add, a condition, and you can add a condition based off of date and time, and so you can say, Display only if the current date is after, so you can say, hey, I want to schedule this to be out in the future to where this doesn't start showing until maybe November 1st, and so you want to enable this condition, so Display only if the current date is, after November 1st, we can go ahead and green check mark that, and we can also add a second condition, and then we'll go down to date and time, and we'll go and say, if is before. Umm, so we'll go to maybe Christmas, the day after Christmas, and we can say, only show this if the date is before December 27th. Six, and then we click on the green check mark, so now we have, um, display, now what we can do here, is we wanna say display if any condition is true, we need to change this to say display if all conditions are true. And that's really gonna allow it to say, hey, it's only gonna show November 1st through December 26th, and it'll turn off on December 26th. So, y- you need to be sure and hit that all conditions are true because it needs both of those true because if we said if any of them are true, then you're just gonna say, hey, it's before December 26th, or it's before, yeah, December 26th, so I'm gonna go ahead and show it. Well, uh, no we need both of these because we don't want to show up until November 1st. So, be sure to look at these, you can add as many conditions as you want. Look at some other things as well. You can do other things of like, oh, hey. Somebody's visited this page at least one time. Really, the most important thing and the most useful thing here is interaction and using date and time. So, adding these conditions will allow this to let you preset and schedule a design element out in the future or remove it in the future as well. Now, the other cool thing to remember, you can also change the text. So, if you just want to do this for text, the same thing happens on text. On buttons, on rows, on sections, on anything you need, you can schedule it for the future or remove it in the future.
