Hey everyone, in today's video tutorial we're going to show you how to easily sync your church announcements from your 10 apps website to canva. This will allow you to easily create print materials like a print bulletin. We've got a base template for you that you can easily make a copy of, of a sample bulletin, and on the back page here you'll see some announcements. And so these announcements are going to allow you, these are groups of one text box, two text box and an image. And this will allow you to easily copy and paste from your website over here, but you don't even have to copy and paste. All you have to do is click a button. So I'm going to show you how to do that today. So to get started, you're going to go over to apps on the side and you're going to search for bulletin creator. You'll go ahead and click on that and then it's going to walk you through what you need to do here. I'm going to walk you through this as well. So you are really just going to need to paste the RSS feed URL and I'm going to show you how to grab that from the back end of your website. So on the back end of your website, we're going to go to announcements and click on categories and you're going to find a category here called print bulletin. Now, if you don't have a category, click here. It called print bulletin, reach out to us at support at 10 apps.com and we will help you set this up. Once this print bulletin category is set up, all you need to do is as you're creating a post, just add it to that category or if you need to go to an existing post, you can click on quick edit and go find print bulletin, select that and then you'll click on update. Now, back to the catfish. If you go to announcements and categories again, you're going to just hover over print bulletin and click on view. What this is going to do is just give you a preview of what all announcements are going over to Canva for the print bulletin, but really this is just a one-time setup, but you're just going to come over here and type in feed backslash and go ahead and hit enter and you're going to know you have it right. If you have a bunch of text. Technical code here. That's going to all go over to Canva. So all you have to do is just copy this feed URL and then we're going to go over to Canva and we're going to paste it where it says paste your RSS feed URL here. And then all you got to do is click on fetch post. So again, in the future you won't have to do anything besides hit fetch posts. All right. So once you've fetched posts again in the future, you won't need to go grab the category. It's just going to be here forever. And all you have to do is just click on fetch posts each week. Now over here, what this is going to do is it's going to take the title youth volunteers. And whenever you have a group selected, it's going to put the title on the first text box and then the description in the second text box, and then put the image over So let me just show you so we are going to say hey I want to put youth volunteers and you say apply to the selection and it's going to put the title, the description and the image right there. Now one trick is it's going to apply it to whatever is selected. So you want to make sure and have a whole group selected. If you don't have a group, let me ungroup those to show you. You could just easily add a text element and another text element and an image and arrange those however you'd like. But whatever the first text box it sees, it's going to put the title there and then the second text box it sees, it will paste the description there. And then whatever image is in that group, it will add your image. So, uh, if you are adding or creating your own group, you can select, hold down shift and select them all and then you click on group. And that'll group, oh, I grouped many together. So, let me come back and do that again. So, I have those three things, I say group. Now, one trick here is if you just select this text, let me show you what's going to happen. If you say apply to selection, I only have that text box selected. So, it's only going to be able to put the title there. Now, if you do that, no worries at all. Just click some of this white space down here, or there's some white space here. But you want to make sure the whole group is selected, because if you just have one text box selected, it's only going to be able to apply your announcement to that selection. So, again, if you do that, just click in some white space, and then you can say apply to selection. Now, what it's going to do is it's going to bring over, uh, the whole description that's from your website. Um, or at least the first 250 characters, and then it will put the end. And sign there. So in that, you may need to trim this down some and adjust this, because it might be too long of an announcement, but you'll also see it'll bring over emojis. If you have that in your announcement as well, let's go ahead and click, and we'll apply this to this third one. And so, again, all you have to do is click on apply to selection, and it brings that over. So really quickly, you're not having to upload, download, copy and paste, move it with pictures, move text over. All you have to do each week is click on fetch posts and then select your group and add which announcement you want in your print bulletin. Now all you need to do is you can just go print this and you're good to go for the week. Let us know if you have any questions by reaching out to support at 10apps.com.
