Granting Access to Google Ads Account


Summary

This SOP outlines the steps needed to grant Tent Apps access to your Google Ads account. It includes instructions on how to find your Google Ads ID, send it to us, and approve our access request.

Overview

  1. Visit ads.google.com.
  2. Log in with your Google associated email, whether it’s a Gmail account or a Google Workspace account.
  3. Once logged in, locate your Google Ads ID in the top right corner of the page.
  4. Right-click on the Google Ads ID and select 'Copy'.
  5. Email the copied Google Ads ID to us.
  6. Wait for an email from Google regarding the access request from Tent Apps/Zack Esgar Marketing.
  7. If you do not receive the email, click on 'Admin' in your Google Ads account, then select 'Access and security'.
  8. Navigate to 'Managers' and find Tent Apps/Zack Esgar Marketing’ request.
  9. Click on the action next to Tent Apps' name and approve the request to grant us access.

Hey, everyone in this video tutorial, we're gonna go over how to add our team to your Google ads account so that we can access your Google ads and be able to help you manage your ads. So, to get started, all you're gonna do, if you have an ads account, you're gonna go to ads.google.com. Now, some people were like, I don't even know if I have an ads account. Um, so go there, go to ads. At Google.com, you'll be asked to log in with your Google associated email. That could be a Gmail account, or a Google workspace account, or something that is tied to a Google account. And then, uh, once you're there, you'll be able to click on sign in in the top. I'm gonna just show you that. So, we'll go over to ads.google.com. And once you're there, you'll click on sign in at the top. And then you should see a selection where if you- I have accounts, so you can select it. Umm, but right there, once you get logged in, what you're gonna do is in the top right corner, you're gonna see your Google Ads ID. And you're just gonna select that. Right click and copy. And then email us that Google Ads ID back. And then we'll be able to send you an invitation to allow us to be able to help manage your account as a manager. and measure. So, in that, it will be important. You will get an email from Google saying, hey, umm, our team has asked requested permission to be able to manage your account. We do not have access until you approve that request. Now another area, if you don't see that email and we're asking you to help us out with approving that, you can be in here and click on admin. Click on admin. Access and security. And then you can go click on managers. And then on managers, there will be an action here next to our name over here. They'll say, please give us access. You click on that and it'll give us access to be able to manage your account. Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks so much.
